As an adoptive parent I have been through the adoption process and use my personal and professional experiences to guide our clients through what they can expect legally, financially, and emotionally.

About Ina Johnson Cook
Ina Cook graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1993 with a B.A. in Social Welfare, with an emphasis in Business Administration and a minor in Public Policy. She attended Emory Law School and graduated in 1996. The Law Firm of Ina Johnson Cook, PC has specialized in adoption law for the past almost 26 years. She teaches several courses regarding adoption law and child advocacy for the Department of Family and Children Services and several metro Atlanta adoption agencies. She has educated medical and legal professionals as well as social workers in adoption matters for the National Council for Adoption. She has also served on the Legislative committee of the Georgia Association of Licensed adoption Agencies, where she helped draft important changes to the adoption code for the State of Georgia. Every year she is hand picked by the Director of the Department of Family and Children Services and Judges of Fulton County Juvenile Court to participate in National Adoption Day. On that day, over 50 adoption cases are finalized every year. She was featured in the Georgia Bar Journal for her work for National Adoption Day. Ina Cook has also been personally chosen by several Judges to conduct independent investigations for adoptions and to review the work of other attorneys. She is also a court appointed special advocate for children in the Foster Care system and enjoys being a child advocate.
Ina Cook is an adoptive mother and has been married for over 26 years. She enjoys spending time with her family and is involved in many charitable organizations. She has been acknowledged by “Our House”, the United Methodist Children Homes and the Department of Family and Children Services for her volunteer work.
